How it all started...
Checotah First FWB Church was founded nearly 85 years ago by the Rev. Thomas H. Dixon, a man who had a vision and the drive to do a special work for the Lord in Checotah. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and with the assistance of many godly men and women many people have come to know the Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
To this day the mission and vision still remain, we want to see people meet Jesus, learn of His love, and disciple others. We pray that the love of our Savior will abound in our hearts and lives.

Expanding the vision...
Our desire in every ministry of our church is to magnify and glorify the name of Jesus. As we serve Him, faithfully, we pray that others will be able to see the love of Jesus in us. We regularly invite missionaries from around the globe to speak to us, endeavoring to broaden our own view of the world Christ died for, and giving us an opportunity to partner with those who are sacrificially serving Him.
