At Checotah First Church we offer a variety of music tastes, and blend them together as much as possible, from traditional, to moderately contemporary, to Bluegrass style of music. In all of our music tastes and selections we try to make sure that the name and Person of Jesus, more than anything else, is magnified and glorified.

We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We try to do that by serving the community and City of Checotah in a variety of ways. We support our CHS athletic programs, encourage the teachers and workers in our schools, provide a clothing closet that is open to all residents twice a week, host a variety of events in our Family Life Center, and do what ever we can to make this community know that we love others and care for the needs of others.
Jesus, in Acts 1:8, tells us that when we are filled with His Holy Spirit that we will witness to everyone, everywhere, starting in Jerusalem and going into all the world. Checotah/McIntosh County is our Jerusalem, and we desire to reach people here. At the same time, we have a desire to reach people in all of Oklahoma, the United States and around the world. We accomplish that by praying for and financially supporting missionaries that have been called to go outside of our "Jerusalem," into ALL the world.
